Why you have to take this course before you start blogging

Hey there, Skill Miner is online. Recently I’ve published an article: “How to become a blogger. An exhaustive guideline from Daniel Boehm”. This course was a step-by-step manual about how to build a blog from scratch and to establish a good marketing strategy. Thinking that something had been probably missed out I also enrolled in the course called Blogging 101: Build A Successful Blog In 2018 And Beyond by Brad Merrill and here is what I’ve discovered.

The story behind

Starting this project I was motivated by a strong intrinsic desire to share my experience in e-learning. On one hand with people who eager to learn something new. On the other hand to help creators of the courses to improve their content. The big mission of this project is to increase awareness of a life-long learning importance and opportunities.

That’s why I wanted to be sure, that by starting it I am equipped with solid knowledge about blogging. Being sure that I deliver a good quality of content to my readers. I value a diversity of opinions that’s why it wasn’t enough to take just one course and to calm down.

Getting through

The course Blogging 101: Build A Successful Blog In 2018 And Beyond is a set of presentations with a voice in the background. It is just two hours long. Nevertheless, it has an overwhelming (in a good way) concentration of information. Compared to the one from Daniel Boehm it might seem a bit poorer. Don’t let this feeling deceive you.

If you follow step by step the instruction from Brad you will end up with a nicely designed blog with possibly a bright future. It will cover the technical issues as well as the business perspectives. How to build good relationships, to become an expert in your field and turn blogging into a passion.

You don’t need any specific prior knowledge to enroll in it. Having very little experience in this field I have managed to understand and apply all the concepts inside. The course answers the main “stop-questions”. The ones that stop people from starting their own blogs. Question number one is what to write about. Question number two (or a doubt number two) I am not a good writer at all, how can I create so much content.

Reading and writing a lot

Here I would like to recall a great saying from Stephen King: “If you want to be a writer, you must do two things above all others: read a lot and write a lot.” Be persistent and try to think globally, then you will see endless opportunities for creating valuable content.

Blogging Skills to Mine

This course has a much swifter pace than the one from Daniel but nevertheless gives an exhaustive practical guidance. Before checking my rating, please, read here how I evaluate the skills.

Conclusion

This blogging course definitely worth taking. On one hand, it gives additional information, which I could find in the course from Daniel. On the other hand, it will take not so much of your free time. You will be provided with a clear technical guidance on how to create a blog. Starting from domain registration and ending up with the blog pages structure.

The author also gives many useful tips about SEO optimization, online marketing content creation, and monetization. The price of the course depends on the current discounts offered by udemy. I paid just 10.00 Euro.
